Gap Refined:

To design an artifact in which objects such as A4 paper, long objects and up to 3 shopping bags can be carried on a moped safely and comfortably at a low cost. 

List of Primary Use Needs:

• Carry more than 3 plastic shopping bags without compromising legroom

• Carry a small hold on bag to take to the airport and local stations on the moped. Ryan air bag – 55x40x20cm

• Carry a handbag comfortably 

• Long objects are currently impossible to carry such as: Surfboard, Beach umbrella (210cm long), umbrella

• Carry A4 paper on the moped. Dimensions 21x30cm

• Carry a pet to go to the vet

• When paying for petrol bags need to be taken into the petrol station

Solutions

Concept A - Wrap around cord with hooks which can be bought separately depending on user needs. To carry long objects, small objects etc...

Concept B - The octopus. A central cord which holds four different coloured cords together. Each colour cord has a different use. Long objects, small objects, handbag and mobile for GPS. When not in use they stay wrapped around and locked into position of the front of the moped as illustrated in the first image below. When needed they unlock the coloured band as use it as intended.

Concept C - This concept stems from the lack of leg room when carrying shopping etc currently with the moped. Maybe the solution is simply to provide more space to position the feet.

Concept D - Red riding hood basket concept which provides for the need to carry long objects, also lifting shopping bags up from the feet area, also allowing room for a mobile for GPS.

Concept E - Saddle up, this concept has notations of a saddle, it's thrown over the seat and it screwed in under the seat to allow for a more stable and secure position. Therefore allowing pockets to be created to store gloves and insurance papers etc... whilst outside the saddle rolls open down either side of the moped providing hooks and gadgets to carry things.

Concept F - Bum Bag, this concept is a design to carry a small bag over the handle bars which support a mobile for use of GPS and other small items such as petrol money etc... it can be used on the moped and then taken with the user.

Concept G - Belt, this concept is a belt which can be used as a belt or later wrapped around the handle bars.

Concept H - Below we have a reusable shopping bag. It can be taken into the supermarket and then mounted on the moped directly. The handle also have a double function and can be removed from the bag and used to wrap around long objects and then attached to the moped. 

Concept I - This is a collapsable mesh bag which can be opened to create space and carry bags in a safe way and also provide space for the feet. 

Concept J - This concept is incorporating the idea of providing space for the feet and a place to put the GPS mobile. It can be attached by below the seat of handle bars.
